Web Downloader , the 'download all' manager that'll take care of all your downloading needs, has also been tested by another major independent 3rd party site update star that host it too. They test and make sure my freeware is secure to host, install and use by anyone.


Some of the main characteristics of Web Downloader are accepting any type of link to download, drag'n'drop, configurable folders per type of download, manageable by proxies (if you so desire to keep privacy and bypass some eventual country 'limitations'), download using several threads and priorities (totally configurable by you, the user) to speed up downloads, download more than one link at a time, and much, much, much more.

If you peek trough the 'options' dialog alone, you'll see lots - and I mean lots! - of useful different options, many that even the commercial paying software don't even think of! And yet... everything is 'hidden' behind a simple, clean, straight forward window interface with some simple menus to access everything else at will. There is a help file that shows you how and what can be done, of course.

The image 'Pic Viewer' (and editor) freeware program has been updated to version 1.0.5.4.

A lot more filters have been added - and many more to come in the future too, together with a corresponding help file update too. A few visual changes too, like the arrows on the "filter settings" dialog that are now up=increase value and down=decrease value instead of the default, not user friendly, programmer's language ones

Carlo M. Cipolla (15 August 1922 – 5 September 2000) was an Italian economic historian. He was a member of both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Society.

Cipolla produced two non-technical, popular essays that circulated in English among friends in 1973 and 1976. The second essay, "The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity" ("Le leggi fondamentali della stupidità umana", 1976),[3][4] explores the controversial subject of stupidity.


These are Cipolla's five fundamental laws of stupidity:

1. Always and inevitably, everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
   
2. The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.
   
3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.
   
4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular, non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places, and under any circumstances, to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.
   
5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.
   

Corollary: a stupid person is more dangerous than a pillager.


As is evident from the third law, Cipolla identifies two factors to consider when exploring human behavior:

• Benefits and losses that individuals cause to themselves.
  
• Benefits and losses that individuals cause to others.
  

Cipolla further refines his definition of "bandits" and "naïve people" by noting that members of these groups can either add to or detract from the general welfare, depending on the relative gains (or losses) that they cause themselves and society.

A bandit may enrich himself more or less than he impoverishes society, and a naïve person may enrich society more or less than he impoverishes himself and/or allows himself to be impoverished.

The image 'Pic Viewer' (and editor) freeware program has been updated to version 1.0.5.2.

With this update a few bugs that were found have been dully solved, a new improved and up to date help file has been redone with all info about modifiers and filters, and some improvements to the internal code itself, for more speed and efficiency, and better compatibility with the latest Windows 11.

This looks like a simple image viewer but, like all our freeware, if you delve on it you'll find so much more in terms of options, modifying filters, and some more..

And 'ToDo Reminder' freeware has been updated again, now up to version 1.2.2.4.

This update introduced 'Shortcut Keys' in menus, making it more legible and user friendly, since now you can immediately see which combination of keys call which menus.

Also, 'Birthday List' window has it's own set of menus too and it's toolbar was moved to the top, making this more consistent visually with the main window.
